Needle bearing universal joints feature high-quality needle-roller bearings, precision-machined trunnions with hardened and ground journals, and the option of alloy or stainless-steel yokes to minimize friction and enhance performance in applications demanding precision and prolonged durability.

These needle bearings come pre-lubricated and necessitate no maintenance, effectively minimizing machine downtime and extending the service life. The majority of u-joints are equipped with dust seals for the bearings.  

Customizable bores are available for blind configurations, preventing shaft penetration into the central joint components and delivering extra protection against contamination.

Runsom Precision innovative ‘hybrid’ pin and block type needle-bearing design merges the superior torque capacity of friction-bearing (pin and block) joints with the needle-bearing’s capability to function continuously at higher speeds with minimal wear and reduced backlash. This design is more suitable for accommodating high side-loads and operating angles.

Our needle-bearing universal joints are offered in outer diameter sizes ranging from 3/4” to 2” with plain bore or bore with keyway options available in sizes from 3/8” to 1” or 8mm to 25mm. All bore types can be equipped with a single set screw.
