Clamp Style Universal Joints

Clamp-style universal joints exhibit similar characteristics to standard single universal joints, with the added advantage of a clamp screw design that prevents shaft marring, ensuring easier assembly, infinite adjustability, and compatibility with all shaft types. This design also evenly disperses compressive forces around the shaft, resulting in a more secure connection in comparison to set screw types.

Steel clamp-style universal joints are available for high-torque applications, while stainless steel variants offer corrosion resistance. These joints are provided in straight bore sizes ranging from 1/4″ to 1-1/4”. Additionally, clamp-style universal joints can be paired with a boot to shield the joint from contaminants in the operational environment. The boot can be packed with grease for an indefinite operational life, reducing maintenance requirements for the universal joint and leading to increased machine uptime.
